A class action lawsuit has been filed against General Motors for fixing a defect on certain police Chevrolet Impalas but neglected to fix the same problem in the 423,000 Chevy Impalas sold to civilians. The affected Impalas were made between 2007 and 2008 and have a faulty spindle rod that mis-aligns the wheels causing the rear tires excessive wear and tear.

GM had dealers replace the rods and tires of police Impalas and even reimbursed police departments that had purchased new tires already, but neglected to alert any of the general public nor civilian owners of ‘07 & ‘08 Impalas.
