Over 134,000 Infiniti G35s have been recalled by Nissan Motor Co. Of those being recalled, the G35 coupes are from model years 2005-2007 and the sedans are model years 2005 & 2006.
The hazardous problem stems from the airbag safety system. A wire harness under the front passenger’s seat could become damaged over time due to excessive wear. The damage may interrupt the signal that’s supposed to alert the airbag to deploy if an accident occur.
However, due to this defect, the airbag may not deploy at all in a crash, increasing the risk of bodily harm or death! Nissan urges people to keep an eye on their dashboard’s airbag warning light. Dealers will correct the problem for free.
