Fleetwood RV Inc. announced a recall of a certain number of popular motor homes due to an issue with the propane tank possibly being damaged, presenting a major safety hazard for occupants of the vehicle. The models included in the recall are the 2010-’11 Southwind motor home and the 2010 Bounder motor home.

The LPG propane gas tank could come into contact with the spring shackle carrier bolts and under certain conditions become damaged. This presents a dangerous scenario. If the LPG tank were damaged the tank could leak extremely flammable gas into the interior of the RV. If this occurs it could cause major bodily injury, massive damage to the vehicle or even death!

Fleetwood RV Inc. has notified original owners and contacted dealers, instructing them to inspect and replace the LPG propane tank for FREE.
