Honda Motor Co. has announced its plans to recall certain 2009-‘11 Pilot SUVs. The specific vehicles were manufactured between March 13th, 2008 and August 30th, 2011. 310,773 SUVs in total are affected by the safety issue at hand.

The hazardous defect affects the two front seats’ safety belts. The sewing that connects the anchor webbing to the seats’ lap belts may be stitched improperly or missing, altogether. In an accident there is a serious risk of personal injury or worse! According to its report to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Honda Motor Co. documented two complaints in which the front seatbelts detached. Dealers will be replacing faulty belts with new stitching free of charge.
