On June 8th of this year, Polaris Industries, Inc. officially began a recall of its 2011 model year Victory Cross Country motorcycles, one of their top sellers. The particular bikes in question were assembled between January 1st and April 11th, 2011.

The problem lies in the motorcycle’s steering system. Either the handlebars’ clamps, risers or both were improperly assembled during manufacturing. The handlebars could slip or shift out of position, causing the rider to lose control of the motorbike while driving and get into a crash, which is always extremely dangerous on a motorcycle. Polaris is notifying owners and instructing dealers to test and replace the clamps and risers as needed, for FREE.
