The 2011 Cross Country, Pathfinder, Encounter and Mirada travel trailers are now being recalled due to faulty circuit breakers. These travel trailers were manufactured from June 28, 2010 to August 26, 2010 with Siemens and Murray Brand one inch plug-in circuit breakers, single and double pole, 15 through 50 amps (these circuit breakers come with and electrical panel).
The faulty circuit breakers have a spring clip that can break during normal everyday use. If a break occurs it may cause the electrical connection in the panel board to become unstable. This can cause excessive temperature spikes, causing damage at the connection point and to the electrical insulation. This is a dangerous hazard which can result in a fire, property damage and/or personal injury.
The recall began in October 2010. Coachmen dealerships are required to remove and replace affected circuit breakers as needed FOR FREE.
